    Higher Education Is a Right

I believe that a strong universal system of education is a necessary hallmark of a democratic society based upon equal opportunity. Access to education prepares people for the workforce and provides them with the knowledge necessary to act as responsible citizens. Therefore, I support a minimum of two years guaranteed college tuition or post-secondary job training for every high school graduate.

  • Why Vote Green

    Why Vote Green

The Green Party represents my and most Americans’ views in wanting living wage jobs, full employment, health care for all, a peacetime economy, a healthy environment, and democracy for the people not corporations. The Green Party fights for the 99%, does not accept corporate PAC money, and is not controlled by Wall Street. Vote for the change you know we need!

  • It’s Time For Universal Health Care

It’s Time For Universal Health Care

The Green Party supports single-payer universal health care for all Americans regardless of income. Health care is a common good, and a right, not a privilege. Our current for-profit health care system lets tens of thousands of people die each year by excluding them from adequate care, while exorbitant medical costs are crippling our economy. The lack of “Medicare for All” hurts consumers, businesses, and the economy. It is unacceptable that the U.S. is the only industrialized nation in the world without a national health care system.

Fighting For A Clean Energy Future

Climate science has clearly proven that our use of dirty energy fuels like coal and oil is destroying our health and environment as well as imperiling our future. We must urgently address this crisis by transitioning to clean energy sources, launching national conservation projects, and retrofitting government, commercial and residential buildings to cut energy consumption. Our generation’s legacy will be measured by how we address this threat to our planet and our survival—yes, it’s that serious.

    Workers’ Rights Are Human Rights

The economy should serve the interests of workers and their families who have built this nation and who make up the vast majority of the population. I advocate a full-employment economy and a living wage for every worker. In a healthy economy every worker should be able to find a good-paying job. If the private sector can’t create such jobs, the public sector must step in to do so.

  • The Cancer in Our Democracy

    The Cancer in Our Democracy

The very essence of our representative democracy is imperiled by the distorting influence of big money on Congress. Whether from huge corporations, millionaires and billionaires, or secret “dark money,” this “money equals speech” cancer infects every democratic institution it touches, distorting normal political processes to serve corporate interests while being protected by a “for sale to the highest bidder” Congress. Left unchecked big money will kill our democracy.

    What I Believe

It doesn’t have to be this way.  We can reorient national priorities to provide good-paying jobs for all workers.  We can establish long-term plans to reduce global warming, providing energy security without jeopardizing public health.  We can prioritize high-quality education by rebalancing national priorities.  And we can safeguard the personal security of American citizens by reigning in the surveillance state.

When money equals speech economic inequality results in political inequality. Tiberi has nearly $2.5 million in his campaign coffers–almost all of it “legalized bribery” from large corporations. What voters are saying

Connie Everett

I decided to register Green when I read their platform. It was everything I believed. I personally know Bob Hart, and he has the ethics and experience to carry forth the Green agenda–which is good for the people and the planet and our economy. Voting for Bob Hart is a vote I look forward to casting!

Emily Journey

I’m registered GREEN because I’m no longer willing to vote for the lesser of two evils. I now vote according to what I really believe and support. Bob is getting my vote.

I have been involved with the Ohio Green Party ever since they unanimously voted to approve a resolution against the Second Gulf War in 2003 and have served 2 terms on the Franklin County Central Committee. I am supporting Bob Hart because I believe that he is totally committed to all the Green Party Values and is working hard to promote them. He is a serious and qualified candidate. He is definitely a pro-peace and justice candidate. You will often see him at the corner of 161 and North High promoting Peace, Not War with other Central Ohioans for Peace.

I’m voting Green because I prioritize people over corporations, sustainable cooperation over reckless exploitation, and bountiful peace over endless war. Bob’s candidacy allows me to make a meaningful vote in the gerrymandered 12th district.

I am green most likely because my maternal grandfather was an organic farmer. I used to read old copies of organic gardening from Emmaus publisher when growing up and was always impressed by people who cared about the environment and taking care of the natural beauty that surrounds them.
